TyNi T9 Keyboard FAQ
Answers to common questions about typing, premium, languages, dumbphones, and video tutorials.
How do I type contractions like can't, I'm, don't etc.?
Contractions can be typed by using the 1 key in place of the ' (apostrophe). For example, to type I'm use the key sequence 4-1-6, and for can't use 2-2-6-1-8.
How do I add new words to the dictionary?
To add new words to dictionary, switch to AB mode and enter the new word. You will see '+Add to dictionary' button in the suggestions bar next to the word. You can do the same by switching to the QWERTY keyboard. Swipe up quickly on the onscreen T9 keyboard to switch to and from the QWERTY keyboard.
How do I switch to the QWERTY layout?
Swipe up from bottom to top on the T9 keyboard to switch to the QWERTY layout. The QWERTY layout is meant to be used when you want to enter a word to the dictionary — in other words, you tried to type in a word but it didn't show up in the suggestions list at the top of the keyboard.
So you can quickly switch to the QWERTY layout, type in the word, and press '+Add to dictionary' and then swipe up again to return to the T9 layout keyboard.
I want to try all premium features before I buy. How can I do that?
When you launch the app for the first time, you get a 24 hour free trial to try out all the premium features. Accept the trial when prompted and try out all the premium features. If you don't buy the premium before the 24 hour trial expires, all Settings changes you make will be reverted back to default values.
Is the payment for premium a one time fee or a monthly subscription?
It is a one time fee that helps in keeping the app updated and to add new features consistently.
What languages are supported?
English, Russian, German, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Turkish, Hungarian, Portuguese, Czech, Arabic, Filipino, Polish, Dutch, Danish, Indonesian, Finnish, Swedish, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Greek, Malay, Norwegian, and Hinglish. Long-press the spacebar to switch typing language.
Will it work with dumbphones and feature phones with a hardware keypad?
